Until the pandemic hit face-to-face events hard, SociéTIC served as a forum for discussion and a network of contacts facilitating the dissemination of information related to Information and Communications Technology.
It has also presented many quality conferences led by renowned speakers.
Over the past ten years, more than a hundred conferences have been given to our members and business people in Eastern Townships.
During these years, SociéTIC also advocated the visibility of regional skills by promoting the influence of the next generation in the Eastern Townships. By organizing several editions of hackathons on its territory, this NPO has facilitated meetings between web developers, programmers, designers and workers in the marketing field. They pooled their know-how and created innovative, original, utilitarian and, above all, functional web applications, presented via a pleasant, accessible and ergonomic visual environment.
Through the presence and support of mentors, these hackathons — the main oneHackQC— have made possible the circulation of knowledge and the sharing of knowledge between generations.
