An ambitious SociĆ©TIC project aiming to encourage retirees of all ages to re-engage in the working world. Entitled Ā«Renfort ĆmĆ©riteĀ» that can be translated as Ā«Emeritus ReinforcementĀ», this project aims, in its own way, to counter part of the labour shortage by offering retirees flexible conditions adapted to their situation and their skills. Based on their values and conditions, this return to the labour market would allow them to balance retirement and work.Ā
Hoping not only that this innovative project will help stimulate the regional and possibly provincial economy, SociĆ©TIC wishes that Renfort ĆmĆ©rite can significantly value the skills and expertise of retirees wishing to accomplish themselves professionally. Through the band, this project could also help to lift them out of isolation and build bridges between intergenerational knowledge.
A conference given on march 27 2023 by Mr. Luc Godbout, professor in tax management at the University of Sherbrooke, presents the financial aspects of a retiree's return to work.
